ADaMS lab Tour
ADAMS Lab facilities:
1- Robotic hybrid manufacturing technology lab (MECE 2-9):
This lab focuses on large-scale polymer and polymer composite hybrid additive subtractive manufacturing technologies. The main equipment here comprise robotic cells capable of high speed polymer and polymer composite 3D printing.
2- Robotic Metal AM Digital Twining and Sensor Fusion Lab (MECE 6-25):
This lab focuses on developing cutting-edge cyber-physical systems for bidirectional digital twining and sensor fusion for robotic wire arc additive manufacturing systems. The main equipment in this lab is: 1- Robotic WAAM sensor fusion platform; 2- Laser powderbed fusion system; 3- Furnaces; 4- Material characterization.
3- Plasma transfer arc AM lab (CME 2-108):
This lab focuses on repair, remanufacturing, and material development of wear-resistant materials. The main equipment here is a 3 Axis Plasma Transfer Arc Additive Manufacturing System.
4- Industry Scale Up Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies Lab (NREF L2-112):
This is a very recent industry-scale-up-sized robotic hybrid additive-subtractive manufacturing systems laboratory. The main equipment here is: 1- Large Scale 14 DOF collaborative Additive Subtractive Robotic system for metal manufacturing and remanufacturing, and the following two equipment are under commissioning (6DOF parallel kinematic manufacturing platform, robotic CNC plasma hybrid manufacturing system)
