Research Scale Metal Additive Manufacturing & Sensor Fusion

A fully open-source LPBF system integrates multi-sensor fusion—including spectroscopy, thermal vision, and high-speed imaging—to capture comprehensive process data and enable real-time monitoring. These inputs are combined with AI-driven algorithms for quality assurance, defect detection, and predictive optimization throughout the build.
Separately, the WAAM platform features a bidirectional twin–enabled temperature control system designed to stabilize thermal cycles and improve deposition accuracy during large-scale fabrication. This setup supports high-performance and hybrid component manufacturing by leveraging synchronized sensing and data-driven process adjustment.
